I've doomed my brain with useless online consumption for years now. But the Bendy podcast is one of the few truly wholesome things I consume online which neither enrages nor irritates me, quite the opposite. It's the medicine.
Your podcast is like therapy for my soul. Thank you for being a light!
Just listened to the first podcast. Loved!!! You two have such a natural bantor. I loved Andy's willingness to be so vulnerable. You are always willing to be open.
So, interesting part about that is you directly addressed that kind of podcast audience pedantry in (I think) your 1st episode talking about when you're unsure on a topic/fact and people listening will be losing their minds wishing they could be in the room to correct you. I'm so fucking guilty of that, that I try to rein it in, and especially because you explicitly touched on it. The earnest humanity of Bendy is making me a better consumer of online content.
this was my first episode, thanks for the insights! i think this is a great topic. i appreciated the nuance of friendship early in life vs later in life, as well as possible differences between men's and women's friendships. what struck me most was the care you both put into the conversation. Beth, the fact that you arrived with a ton of questions highlights how 1) interest is an expression of care and 2) even when we adore someone and are very close to them, there's still so much we don't know. i approve of this chat!
My second favorite podcast is Bendy the Podcast, where two great friends Beth and Andy look for, and also bring joy to each other's lives and to others as well ( mine included). I find joy in listening to them (very positive, friendly, with contagious laughter duo) and my daily hikes with my furry girl.
